Thomas "Rick" Tewell
Executive
Producer / President
Rick is a pioneer in the digital video field.
He was cofounder of Sequoia Advanced Technologies, Inc. who, in 1994,
developed one of the first digital video implementations for the Windows
and PC platforms, allowing users to connect digital camcorders to
PCs for capturing and editing. Virtually all PCs today use this digital
video technology in some form. In 2000, Ligos Corporation acquired
Sequoia Advanced Technologies, and Rick and his team engineered a
technology solution for converting video from digital camcorders directly
to the MPEG-2 (DVD) format. This solution is in use by millions around
the world today. In October of 2003, Rick left Ligos to pursue his
calling of using his technical and business skills for building a
business based on creating multimedia Christian content. Rick lives
in San Anselmo, California, is married and has two children, a eleven
year old boy and an eight year old girl. For the last six years, Rick
has taught children’s Sunday School and developed and presented multimedia
curricula to the classroom there.
